# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:09 slackebot1 was the site that become in responsive and was not a network issue. With regards to the server migration. This has been scheduled for sometime and you was informed by email regarding this. With regards to the Cpanel, again this was not a fault it just needed the Cpanel licence refreshing via ssh. With regards to the suspension of the service, this was down to billing details which we could not move from our old sevrer as we only hold the last 4
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:09 birdy247 " Hi Aaron My name is Darren and I am senior within PlanetHippo. I have spoken to you a couple of times his week. With regards to the boot loader this is not a fault, it's just an option to use the kernel of the server instead of the kernel of the inter cloud network. The issue was not down to a fault. We simply told the server to use the kernel of the server and not the network. The server was not off line at any point and has had 10
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:09 birdy247 when I tried to login to WHM, cPanel liscences had expred, despite me paying for them every month
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:08 birdy247 Here is a response from their senior tech guy
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:08 johan lol, you can start by telling them that their statement that PHP config files cannot be copied across servers is an outright lie.
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:07 birdy247 But want to build a case for compensation
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:07 birdy247 I am going to
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:07 johan dude, way too many red lights. move. soon.
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:07 birdy247 again, they took my site offline
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:07 birdy247 My argument was that i had supplied them with car details, and it was no fault of my own that they could not use these on their new platform/server
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:06 birdy247 The server was then disconnected because they had no details DESPITE me being a paid member for the month
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:06 birdy247 When they moved sevrer, they said they needed my CC details again
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:05 birdy247 My Card details were saved with them
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:05 birdy247 The final straw, was I had paid for 1 month on Sept 11th
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:05 johan ... madness
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:05 birdy247 " Php settings can not be mode from one server to another "
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:05 johan is the PHP version even still the same?
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:04 johan they are objectively incorrect in making such a statement
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:04 johan O______O
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:04 birdy247 when I reported it, they said you cannot copy php config settings from 1 server to another
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:03 birdy247 I noticed the php.ini settings were completely different
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:03 birdy247 After the migration, lots of things were failing
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:03 Neon1024 If theyâ??ve done it once, theyâ??ll do it again
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:03 Neon1024 Or just move host
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:03 Neon1024 Charge them for the time
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:03 birdy247 connection timeouts
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:02 birdy247 All my emails have stopped sending
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:02 Neon1024 But damn, Iâ??d be all over that, like WTF is the tech doing misconfiguring the box like that
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:02 birdy247 well
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:02 Neon1024 Itâ??s standard practise
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:02 Neon1024 câ??â??s
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:02 Neon1024 Which is their get out of jail loophole
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:02 Neon1024 Rather than web response
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:02 Neon1024 But as with most web companies, they guarantee network uptime
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:02 Neon1024 Well, they are admitting fault
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:01 birdy247 They are saying it was not their fault
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:01 Neon1024 I mean, sure, if youâ??ve got a load balanced pair of servers, do one then the other, but damn
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:01 birdy247 "With regards to the boot loader this is not a fault, it's just an option to use the kernel of the server instead of the kernel of the inter cloud network. The issue was not down to a fault. We simply told the server to use the kernel of the server and not the network. The server was not off line at any point and has had 100% uptime. It was the site that become in responsive and was not a network issue. "
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:01 Neon1024 Who the hell messes with the kernel on a webserver!?
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:00 Neon1024 Jesus, thatâ??s quite a failure
# Oct 3rd 2016, 09:00 birdy247 "It was due to the boot loader on the cloud server. I have refreshed the kernel and you should be fine from here. "
