Feb 24th 2009, 12:58 |
d1rk |
_nate_: well, maybe they plan to invade the windows world with more apps... |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:54 |
_nate_ |
d1rk: I mean, it's not like they have any incentive to encourage Windows development ;-) |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:53 |
_nate_ |
well, that'd require Apple's full company support, which, for Window's development, they probably wouldn't do |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:49 |
d1rk |
_nate_: yeah, would great if they open that to other developers. |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:38 |
_nate_ |
I'm sure Apple had to write a lot of custom libraries and UI rendering code to get Windows to do this |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:32 |
d1rk |
i coded c# for some years, but i would have no idea on how to do this. |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:32 |
_nate_ |
oh, yes, I suppose so |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:32 |
d1rk |
_nate_: having the look and feel of apple on win-machines. |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:31 |
_nate_ |
d1rk: sorry, do what exactly? |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:30 |
d1rk |
_nate_: yeah, but when apple can do it, others can too? |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:30 |
d1rk |
just bought a new 17" mac, but it takes weeks to get it. And i have to stick to win on some workplaces.. so, what should i say, more of that |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:30 |
_nate_ |
I think it's just Safari and iTunes |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:29 |
d1rk |
_nate_: yeah. I am addicted to Safari and the everything that goes with it... like, font-rendering and flying menus... |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:29 |
_nate_ |
other Apple software for Windows? |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:29 |
_nate_ |
d1rk: I wasn't sure what you were asking about in your tweet |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 12:28 |
d1rk |
_nate_: yeah! :) |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 10:45 |

Feb 24th 2009, 06:50 |
mariano_iglesias |
done |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:49 |
alkemann |
agreed :) add something about "checking a users total rating" to the "accept a user as author" use case _Ã¥ |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:47 |
mariano_iglesias |
yeah thats what i said, we dont need karma, ratings are good enough |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:47 |
mariano_iglesias |
well actually karma can be auto-calculated thru number of possitive ratings |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:47 |
mariano_iglesias |
or at least that for some reason the community likes him :) |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:46 |
mariano_iglesias |
the bigger the karma, the easier for us moderators to know we should make this author an Authroized Author |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:46 |
mariano_iglesias |
karma +10 |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:46 |
mariano_iglesias |
then i write article B, again lots of ratings publish it |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:46 |
mariano_iglesias |
my karma goes +10 |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:46 |
mariano_iglesias |
im registered user, i write article A, i get lots of ratings and it gets published |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:46 |
mariano_iglesias |
on karma: |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:46 |
mariano_iglesias |
yeah |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:45 |
alkemann |
yea it should be possible. but deprecation tag and making an article wiki owned (so he can edit it) should cover most cases. unpublishing should jsut cover the most extreme cases |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:45 |
mariano_iglesias |
meaning that im a registered user |
# |
Feb 24th 2009, 06:45 |
mariano_iglesias |
i mean since we have ratings for publishing, we might as well just get karma with it |
