Feb 18th 2009, 12:24 |

Feb 18th 2009, 12:13 |
jperras |
alkemann: no, I'm not going that far. More like where should the search box go, left or right navigation, etc. |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 12:13 |
alkemann |
gotta seperate the two so the graphic designer doesnt design application flow |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 12:13 |
jperras |
which are pretty much just a pdf with the broad outlines of the elements of a sit. |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 12:13 |
alkemann |
ok. cause when i think of mockups im thinking about app design. ugly bugly trying to figure out what elements, info, buttons and links need to be on a page |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 12:12 |
jperras |
most web graphic designers start from wireframes |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 12:11 |
jperras |
alkemann: precisely |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 12:07 |
alkemann |
so its a graphic design tool more than a app design tool? |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 12:07 |
jperras |
web mockups are usually barebones, with only the broad outlines of where items and images will be placed |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 12:06 |
jperras |
alkemann: that's not too far from the truth, actually |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 12:04 |
alkemann |
jperras: when u say wireframes, I (coming from a 3d graphics background) see strange images of a website with just outlines/strokes |

alkemann: yeah, i remember. I had a look in the 2.0 branch some months ago. Did it change much since then? |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:40 |
d1rk |
alkemann: sure. I will do some processing on my thoughts. I guess, there is no signal if i just share random ideas. |

master being empty and "2.0.x.x" having current code situatation |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:40 |
alkemann |
d1rk: no, atm we have a master branch and a "2.0.x.x" branch |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:39 |
d1rk |
jperras: i am looking forward to it. bakery really needs some face.lifting.... |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:39 |
alkemann |
d1rk: unless it simple random thoughts, it would be great if u can put them in the wiki so we have them written down :) |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:39 |
d1rk |
alkemann: i would not fork. is that planned? |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:39 |
d1rk |
alkemann: i will make my thoughts about what i would expect from bakery and share this on the wiki or here. |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:38 |
alkemann |
d1rk: yea i assume so :) |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:38 |

i've never done project management where coders submit to different branches / forks though, so i dont know if we wanna do that and if so how that complicates things |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:38 |
d1rk |
alkemann: sounds good. will the tickets be in thechaw? |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:37 |
alkemann |
my thinking is that we are in the gathering and brainstorming fase. at some point we need to decide and stamp the spec. at that point, someone (was planing on offering myself) finishes the baking process and sets up shop. then we get a trac up and make task tickets and everyboyd in the project can grab a ticket (task) at a time |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:37 |
jperras |
should have some wireframes soon enough. got sidetracked a bit last evening. |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:35 |
d1rk |
gwoo: yeah. I do not know how much time i can currently spend, but i will try to focus on some tasks and get them done fast. So, to make my step in a bit easier it would be great if someone feelds responsible for me, talking about todos or tickets or something. |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:34 |
gwoo |
this should help us get things done a bit faster |
# |
Feb 18th 2009, 11:33 |

Feb 18th 2009, 11:33 |
