nurvzy: true. do you have a profile page perhaps, that shows all of your public repositories? |

savant: Indeed, its not exacly the best code solution, but it was the only one I could find that offered free private as well as public repos. |

savant: I see, is there not a way to add a projects via repository only? Does it have to flow that way User->Repos->CakePHP repo |

nurvzy: not even sure how I would associate the repositories from xpdev to your user if there isn't some association between them (there doesn't seem to be a profile page for you) |

nurvzy: true there are no guidelines against duplicate/similar publications. but i don't see this one providing any new info/code to the community. plus i am not too thrilled about the idea of components for image manipulation. i would rather have it as a behavior or helper if you wanna do it on the fly |

it's how I work github. grab all of a user's repositories, classify them, add if they are cakephp repositories |

nurvzy: so that way the metadata I collect from a user or a repository remains updated. |

ie. json that defines how one would get the git format of an svn repo |

so that way I can serve them up in different forms |

ADmad: I personlly don't see the harm in publishing it. It's not poorly written, he provides code and an example. He's followed all the rules in the Bakery Guideline. If we're not goint to publish it because the are "many" tools out there, then we should add that clause to the Bakery Guidelines. We |

Looking at http://bakery.cakephp.org/articles/view/image-resize-component-1, other than the fact it should specify it uses the GD library, and probably should be a vendor/lib rather than a component it looks ok for publishing. Thoughts? |

the problem is, I have a model called User, Child and Parent. Child and Parent are extending the User model. (at least that is the idea :P). The User model has associations on its own, but I want to link the Child and Parent model, how to do that while extending, without losing the associations defined in the User model? |
