The authentication plugin has a cookie authenticator which supports that out of the box (https://book.cakephp.org/authentication/2/en/authenticators.html#cookie-authenticator-aka-remember-me), configure it, send the `remember_me` field and you're done. For the old auth component there's community plugins, like for example https://github.com/Xety/Cake3-CookieAuth |
