checking for DOCTYPE statements myself before handing it off to the parent. Perhaps there should be an extra (default) option not allowing DOCTYPE statements in XML parsed in the body of a request? If wanted I can provide a test case to reproduce the behavior. |

hi contributors! our application was PEN-tested and they made use of an XXE attack, but it was not with external entities but internal entities. I have looked at the XML::_loadXML function and while libxml_disable_entity_loader is properly set, the internal references are still expanded, making any request run out of memory real fast for large nested internal references.
