It’s a minor thing, but it just popped into my brain when I saw it |

They’re feature toggles I guess |

I think it is ok to have a few Configure::read() around, it if is static configuration (defined n the bootstrap or app.php) |
# |
Jul 20th 2017, 09:06 |
lorenzo |
what configuration do you want to pass? |
# |
Jul 20th 2017, 09:03 |
neon1024 |
Passing configuration to a helper or similar is very simple, but with a controller it doesn’t feel as obvious |
# |
Jul 20th 2017, 09:03 |
neon1024 |
Is it ‘okay’ for Controllers to read from Configure::read() as it feels like this is an object reaching out for it’s dependancies rather than being given them on creation |

Hi, I have a question. I have FirstTable containing a belongsTo association with SecondTable. If i have an FirstEntity and set second_table_id to null in database then try to call FirstTable->get(<id>, ['contain'=>['Seconds']]), it gives me null. |

Hi all. I'm not sure if here is the proper place to ask this kind of help. Please tell me if not. I have a working project and I'm stuck with a contact plugin that I'm trying to create. |

you might want to look through all the logs too (php, apache, cake) to see if something’s up there |

are they on the same server? |

I believe so, especially if your app can connect |

thanks - so this is a server config issue rather than cake I think |
# |

jarard not sure. mysql conf files can be all over the place. I think you can view variables via mysql itself, to maybe find what socket it’s using |

I have found that looping through a function multiple times is better than doing it straight in the main function, I guess it's better at handling memory? |
