techno-geek: well, he wrote the Oracle driver for Cake, and some other stuff, but he uses the word "funsies" like it's going out of style |

Jul 21st 2009, 13:19 |
techno-geek |

I am quite intimidated by most of the cake devs and I am kind've worried that my code wouldn't be up to par |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:18 |
markstory |
my rule is awesome++ |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:18 |
_nate_ |
nope, just the coding standards page in the Cookbook |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:17 |
techno-geek |
do you have a special hidden handbook somewhere of standards that all Cake devs follow? |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:17 |
_nate_ |
right |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:17 |
ProLoser|Work |

# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:17 |
techno-geek |
yeah I figured you'd eventually do that. |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:16 |
_nate_ |
for the official plugin repository, we can tie it into Bakery logins |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:16 |
_nate_ |
as long as each plugin is attached to some owner and contact information, I don't think we need a formal user system |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:16 |
_nate_ |
well, strictly speaking, I think the user registration can probably be separate |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:15 |
techno-geek |
and then it looked like there was some web app to it as far as getting Users registered and uploading their plugins to the server |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:15 |
_nate_ |
this is the current project |

techno-geek |
I'm not 100% what all it entails quite yet. All I know is it is supposed to be a plugins client / server type deal and I assumed we'd have a shell for it and stuff like some of the other guys have done recently. |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:14 |
_nate_ |
if it's up your alley, you're welcome to have at it |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:13 |
_nate_ |
well, it is an important project, and one that's been neglected for a while |
# |
Jul 21st 2009, 13:13 |

I hear you're interested in the plugin server? |
